Induction Interface & Diffuser Plate 19cm by Artame
Manufactured in 18/10 Stainless Steel this interface plate is suitable for use on induction, ceramic, electric and gas hobs.
Used as an induction interface plate it allows the use of non induction cookware such as aluminium and copper to be used on an induction unit
Used as a heat diffuser plate it is specially recommended for terracotta cooking pans , frying pans and cooking ware in general as a "simmer ring" on gas or electic hobs
This Induction Interface & Diffuser plate (called a Placa in Spain & Portugal) is a heat diffuser plate designed to be used on ceramic, induction, electric and gas hobs to let you cook with terracotta and other cookware.
Made from magnetic steel it is also ideally suited to let you use your favourite old cookware on an induction hob avoiding the cost of having to replace all your cookware with induction pans at one time
For cookware to work on an induction hob it must be magnetic, so ceramic, aluminium, copper and many stainless steel pans will not work.
The diffuser disc sits between the heat source and the cookware and gives control over the heat source to allow for “slow and even heat” cooking in terracotta and tagines etc
Used on an induction hob the converter will heat up and pass the heat through to the pan or cookware placed on it.
The diffuser disc will get hot hence it has a long handle which is designed to stay cool.
A highly versatile piece of equipment to give you complete control over your cooking
Suitable for all pans up to 19cm
We recommend using a cloth or oven glove when touching the handle, but do not touch the disc as it will be very hot
Can be used as a heat diffuser simmer (ing) ring to distribute and lower the heat for preparing sauces, melting foods etc
Can also be used on gas stove crossbars as a hob trivet so that expresso makers, small pans can stand securely on the hob
can be used on the bars of a barbeque to allow for cooking in terracotta
Please allow the disc to cool down naturally
Do not use this disc as a grill or a toaster
Do not put a hot disc into water as this could stress in the material, causing the disc to distort which may affect the future performance of the diffuser
